When construction commenced in April of 2017, this building design had been over 8 months in the process of design. A carefully thought out design, which incorporated large open living spaces, generous size bedrooms and bathrooms and a relaxing overall feel. We named this design, Cedar.
This unique Samford Homes design has been designed in conjunction with our fantastic drafting consultants at Sans Borne. We wanted to bring back the character of yesteryear to the new home market. This was achieved by using the fantastic Scyon cladding products we enjoy using on nearly all of our projects. The cladding options offered by these products allow Samford Homes to produce looks from the contemporary to the traditional. We used a blend of Stria and Linea to achieve the final style of this building.
Samford Homes decided for this project that this would be the perfect opportunity to investigate the use of a very clever and efficient structural slab system called Cupolex.
This system requires less need for heavy machinery on site, whilst saving time, steel and concrete use. This reduces the carbon footprint of our building process further then our competitors. It also has the effect of positively impacting the energy rating of the finished building. Samford homes was proud to be the first company in North Queensland to use this innovative building product. We have since made this our standard slab system for all our future building projects.
Our standard inclusion of fittings and fixtures were included in the specifications for this new home. Our standard level of inclusions has been carefully selected to offer the best in energy and water usage, as well as having substantial warranties included for long term benefit to our clients.
Some of the finer details used in this design are the inclusion of market leading timber vinyl floorboards. Samford Homes also offers our clients selected intricate detailing of our internal doors to subtly enhance the look and feel of the overall building.
